AJS Model 31 CSR 1959

£6995

This has to be one of the best examples of AJS’s competition 650 twin for sale today! Fully restored with a hefty folder of receipts and history, it comes with an old buff log book and owners manual along with an AJS owners club dating certificate confirming the models CSR status. The odometer shows a mileage of 2083 since the restoration. This is one of those bikes that actually looks better in person than in the pictures, viewing is highly recommend!

A high-performance variant of the AJS Model 31, the CSR (Competition Spring Frame Road) was produced by Associated Motor Cycles (AMC) to rival Triumph and BSA’s twin-cylinder machines. Equipped with a 646cc parallel-twin engine, the Model 31 CSR had won the Thruxton 500 race outright in 1960, and in 1962 was named Hurricane. It was known for its blend of power and handling, making it a favourite among enthusiasts of the era.
