This model created a new evolution of sports machines which would last for eight years, and was the first C class machine not to debut with the bathtub fairing. Instead the UK model had the new ‘bikini’ fairing, a separate chrome headlamp rather than the nacelle, and a slim front mudguard rather than the roman helmet design whereas in the US the fairing was dropped altogether.
