Given the reputation of Kawasaki’s fierce and fast ‘Triples’ it was no surprise that a ‘bad-boy’ image attached itself to the then ‘learner-legal’ 250 version with its striking appearance, sound and speed. Many of these powerful 250s were damaged by over-enthusiastic riders, making early survivors rare today.
