Triumph T100A Bathtub 1960

The T100A was the sportier version of the 5TA, with the bathtub enclosure, replacing the Tiger 100 (T100) model and using the new unit style.

It came equipped with high-compression pistons, revised camshafts, and the Lucas Energy Transfer ignition which powered the ignition coils directly from the alternator allowing the bike to run without a battery. Although this example has be converted to electronic ignition for a more reliable experience. The model carried the same bodywork and running gear as the 5TA – the bathtub fairing, nacelle, and large front mudguard. Today it is becoming increasingly hard to find them with the original steel work bathtubs.

Our T100A has been lovingly restored to her former glory by her previous owner, with a good record of works carried out. There are some very discreet indicators fitted to assist in riding on our busy modern roads, these could be removed for a potential buyer if needed. She can be heard running and seen riding in the youtube video below.
