Triumph Trident Production Racer 1969

Being owned by The Triumph Engineering Company Ltd on the 28th May 1969 then supplied to the Dealership A Bennett & Son as the original buff log book details this particular Trident was destined to have a life in the lime light! Bennetts were only 20 minutes down the road from the Meridan works and had very good connections with the racing department. This connection ensured that Bennetts got all of the best parts available to put together this particular works spec racer the most notable being one of only 11 known specially made shortened frames that were produced by the Triumph race department to combat the primary drive touching down at high lean angles.

Bennetts top rider was 30 year Darryl Pendlebury who raced the this particular Trident in the 750 Production Isle of Man TT on many occasions, the best result we can find was 6th in 1973. The bike comes with a TT replica trophy.

The Trident was then sold onto Stephen Trasler as detailed in the Buff log book.

This is just a few highlights from a box of magazine articles and photographs from over the years, a unique example to own your own piece of Triumph & Isle of Man TT history! As you can see from the pictures and video the bike runs and performs as it should and is in excellent condition.
